For community organisations

Free career support for the people you serve.

Join our network. When funding reaches your area, we provide the accounts, the coaches and the reporting. You tell people it is there.

You know the people. We find the funding and provide the support.

How it works

No programme for you to run

Joining is free and commits you to nothing. It helps us send funded support to the right places.

01

Tell us who you serve

Register your organisation, where you are, and the communities you work with.

02

We match the funding

We connect social value commitments and other funding to your area.

03

You share the link

People set up their own accounts and get support directly from us.

What it asks of you

A service without extra admin

You

  • Tell people the support exists
  • Share a link, or put our materials up
  • Offer space only if you want an in-person service

Stay Nimble

  • Funded accounts and qualified coaches
  • The career support itself
  • Records and funder reporting

What people receive

A Stay Nimble account for life

Career support people can use in their own time: Ask.Nim at any hour, Skills Finder, Career Explorer, Course Finder, CV Helper and Job Radar.

Funded places include coaching credit with a coach registered with the Career Development Institute, qualified to at least Level 6 in career guidance and trained as a mental health first aider. Coaching credit does not expire, so nobody is penalised for stepping away and coming back.

Reach

Digital first, not digital only

People can start online without travelling or waiting for an appointment. Where there is space and funding, a coach can come to your venue regularly too.

At GL11 Community Hub in Cam that is the Careers Café on Wednesdays. At Corbett Community Library in Lewisham, it runs alongside everything else the library does. At South Hill Centre in Hemel Hempstead, it's every Tuesday.

Career support inside a place people already use

Over 100 local people have worked with us at the library since December 2023. More than 40 have moved into full-time work, part-time work or self-employment, or taken a significant step through volunteering or vocational training.

Cordelia Wise RCDP spends about a third of her week with Stay Nimble there. The rest she coaches by video across the country.
